it was hard. HARD
and i got 1 stupid question wrong.
What is 2007/1*2+2007/2*3+...+2007/2006*2007
I put 2007.
Shil said it was 2006.
Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Oh well.
Anyway, a teaser for some of u. There is a integer. Call it "N".
What is the highest possible value of N that when added to both 496 and 224, the results are square?
Shil couldn't do this.
Mwhahahaha

We learnt simultaneous equations. YAY
Then we had Computer Sci, and since Ms Sheela was missing, a replacement teacher came in to talk about local matters, like the four classmates who were washed down a canal. But he wouldn't play chess with me.Dang it!
Then we had an acids and alkalis practical test. w00t! Not everyone was as enthusiastic though XP. I mixed a one of everything: 3 unknown chemicals, calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, methyl orange and a LOT of universal indicator. The solution turned red and there was a effervescent of a colourless gas. w00t
Ca(OH)2 + CO2--> CaCo3 + H2O

Tennis
Hope my blog won't die that fast like some of the other ones. My memory of the tennis match isn't very clear on some details. anyways
Yesterday was the Tennis and Squash "C" division finals. Our class was the only Sec 2 class sent to cheer for the tennis team. The bus dropped us off as some deserted spot and we were basically lost, with very few people around, except for a map poorly drawn on paper and some directions from Calvin. We walked around for about half an hour, playing stupid pranks on one another, ("I saved you!" lolz)then found a KFC with FREE refills of soft drink and the class spent about five happy minutes there. :) Then we refilled our cups and headed to the tennis courts, aided by directions from Calvin (I think).
When we reached the tennis courts, we (2.10 excluding the prefects and the tennis players) slacked around sipping our drinks, walking around, talking to friends etcetera until the prefects 'forced' us to cheer. However, as one person put it "We cheer to try and help the tennis players, however when we cheer, we are actually distracting the players...when we are losing very heavily then we cheer [when it is too late]". These statements struck me. Of course, cheering can be useful in some sports like rugby but during tennis, maybe the cheering does not produce the desired result.
Later, I went back to where we left our bags, finding Matt and Tim guarding the bags and sitting down on chairs. So after some time, I asked Mr Dave Tay whether we (I didn't say who the other person was) could take over Tim and Matt. He agreed and so Libertica (not his real name) and I went to guard the bags, making Tim and Matt 'vulnerable' to the prefects' booking for not cheering or "skipping school" as one prefect put it. Something like that. But I feel that the cheering is taking away our time spent learning, I also had to skip my cca and cheer (uselessly and harmfully in my opinion). Arrgh. But few people argue with prefects when they are not your friends. Okay, I admit, I don't like prefects in general. I mean, they have so much power, however they cannot be 'fired' or 'voted off' by the students the, selves (as far as I know). Ah well.
Anyway we won the squash 4-1 and lost the tennis 2-3. Then Peter, Faraaz, Ting Wei, Junn Kit and I went to the bus stop. We hopped on bus 11 (no pun intended) and at the next stop saw 196 ahead of us. So Peter, Junn Kit and I hopped off bus 11 (thanks to the bus driver) and hopped on 196. Junn Kit and I just talked while Peter listened to music.
IMO, it was a wasted afternoon. Yes, I had to skip chess. Yes, I was bored. Yes, it would be worse without the free refills of soft drinks. Who cares? XD

Catalyst!
Today there was the New South Wales Science test. It was durin g PE. w00t! I hope I can get high distinction but I'm not sure of some of the catalyst questions.
Speaking about catalysts, I invented a new catalyst today.
First the definition: A catalyst is a substance that speeds up a reaction but is not consumed in it.
Presenting the: POKE!
/pause advertisement
The catalyst, poke, was invented by me when Zheng Wei was sleeping. Shil asked him to wake up and Zheng Wei stirred. I then poked him and he woke up with a shock. The poke sped up the reaction of him waking up
/play advertisement
Very effective in speeding up various reactions, the poke requires very little energy!
The poke will be taught at 3.1415926535897932384626 sqrt street at e pm on 14th March. Members of the now defunct Nerds' society get a 75% discount and priority. So come and learn the poke now.

lolz. :)
anyway, after the NSW test, I had recess than LS prac. Then ISO, after which X made an interesting comment that I seemed calm on the outside, but was more violent in the inside. I was shocked but it's true. Ah well. I'll try to be less violent and instead poke more.
Anyway, I showed mig this blog. I still don't know whether to make it public though. Oh well.
